A. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Compliance

Timeglass agrees to the following:

1. Student Record Ownership

Student records obtained by Timeglass from educational institutions remain the property of and under the control of the educational institution. Schools retain full ownership rights to all personal information and education records provided to Timeglass.

2. User Control

Students, faculty, and schools maintain possession and control of their generated content and can access, modify, or delete it by contacting their educational institution or through their Timeglass account settings.

3. Purpose Limitation

Timeglass will not use any information in student records for any purpose other than those required or specifically permitted by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are limited to educational time tracking and productivity services.

4. Parent and Student Rights

Parents, legal guardians, or eligible students may review personally identifiable information in student records and correct erroneous information by contacting their educational institution or accessing their Timeglass account directly.

5. Security Commitment

Timeglass maintains the security and confidentiality of student records through:

• Role-based access controls limiting employee access to those with legitimate need
• Background checks for employees with potential access to student data
• Regular privacy and data security training for all staff
• Technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security safeguards
